Women Activities & Social Service Association (WASSA) established in 2002 in Afghanistan, as a non-governmental organization, committed to seeking ways for women empowerment in Afghanistan. WASSA aims to promote women’s equal participation in the socio-economic sectors of the country. WASSA works directly with communities in order to bring change in the social attitude of the community regarding women.
Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assessing cases and compiling case reports containing relevant information.
- Providing support, guidance, and counsel to individuals, families and groups in need.
- Making referrals or introductions to other agencies.
- Scheduling individuals to appointments with PSS counselors.
- Motivating individuals to participate in PSS counseling sessions.
- Coordinate with senior management to report on ongoing cases and receive new assignments.
- Review all new cases and schedule an introductory meeting.
- Note any and all changes to an individual, family and support environment or economic status
- Make assessments of the amount of service they need
- Identify documents and provide case management processes for children at risk of protection concerns.
- Conduct regular field visits to beneficiaries in communities and households in targeted districts
- Share information with parents/caregivers as appropriate and support them in implementing relevant parts of the case plan;
- Ensure full responsibility & accountability –for maintaining, drafting, and updating reports which include case management reports,
- Explain community focal points on CP case identification and safe referrals
- Assessing individuals’ situations and providing the relevant support they may need
Job Requirements:
- University Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Public Administration, Law, Political Science, and any other related field
- Experience, 3 years in a related field preferably in the humanitarian sector
- Well experienced in planning and reporting
- Have the ability to plan, organize, and carry out activities with limited supervision from supervisors.
- Ability to communicate and submit reports in both spoken and written.
- Good English writing and speaking skills
- Fluency in Pashto / Dari
- Good knowledge and skill in computer office automation programs,
