Currently present in 20 countries since 2010, SI carries out emergency / post-emergency programs in 4 sectors in worldwide.
Job Description For Position Of Community Engagement Deputy Coordinator:
Community Engagement and Accountability
- Develop the Community Engagement guidelines, and train all SI program team on regular basis on it to ensure the Accountability to Affected Population (APP) principles are prioritized.
- Responsible for the development, review and harmonization of monitoring and data management tools on AAP
- Propose new SI FCRM communication channels based on preference at community level (complaints boxes, etc.), especially for the most vulnerable.
Protection mainstreaming
- Provide technical and methodological support to program teams, to ensure that protection is mainstreamed at all phases of the project cycle
- Organize workshops with the field office team to identify potential protection risks and recommendations to address them
- Update on quarterly basis the protection risks analysis (at provincial level), in coordination with the program team at field level
- In collaboration with Field Coordinators, identify actors working in the organization’s areas of intervention, and encourage potential synergies, when relevant.
- Train program team in protection mainstreaming and develop protection checklist per activities, to ensure that the needs of people with specific needs and the most vulnerable are address in the meaningful manner.
Reporting & communication
- Write and send his/her weekly activity report (which must report on the progress of activities) to his/her manager
- Actively participate in meetings of the coordination or the base when asked by his/her manager.
- Establish and maintain good relations with local actors and communities (populations) in the areas of intervention
- Develop and/or contribute to the analysis and creation of products (visuals, dashboards, reports, etc.) from MEAL team data and, upon request from program data, in collaboration with the MEAL and program teams, before sharing and dissemination to management, field teams and other stakeholders.
- Brings to light any difficulty linked to his or her activities, to the programs of SI or security concerns
- Represent the organization in relevant forum
- Participate in the design of visuals products (dashboards, maps, etc.) as well as success stories, case studies, etc. for both internal and external audiences
Job Requirements For Position Of Community Engagement Deputy Coordinator:
degree in sociology, law, political science or any other technical subject
Minimum of 10 years of experience in protection, community mobilization and engagement
At least 5-year experience in NGO (preferable)
Strong leadership skills and autonomy
Basic computer skills (Excel and word) is required
Autonomy, rigor, analytical skills
High work ethic and respect of rules
Good level of English (written and spoken) is preferable.
Proficiency in Dari and Pashto is required.
