CTG recruits, deploys and manages the right people with the right skills to implement humanitarian and development projects, from cleaners to obstetricians, and mechanics to infection specialists, we’re skilled in emergency response to crises such as the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Role objectives
Support the M&E Officer in timely and effective implementation of M&E and Learning activities in line with IOM’s M&E Guidelines and IOM Afghanistan’s M&E manual and workplan and the stated objectives to foster sustainable reintegration in Afghanistan,

Monitor that all information relevant to key project indicators and outputs is collected in a timely manner, and that all information collected is consistent with the information required for outcome monitoring and progress reporting,

Undertake regular data collection in the field pertaining to the Sustainability Reintegration Survey and assist the M&E Officer on the verification and validation of the data that is collected in eastern zone,

Contribute to enhanced project quality by undertaking quality monitoring in the field, recording lessons learned and providing best practices,

Undertake routine, independent spot-checks of project activities and ensure quality of data by random verification and validation,

SKILLS:

In-depth knowledge of monitoring and evaluation standards and practice of United Nations.

Good interpersonal and communication skills and experience of working in the field.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

High school diploma and/or university degree or equivalent diploma in social sciences, development, Information Management, or any other related field.

Proficiency in the usage of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is required; advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and data analysis in Excel and the data analysis software is an added advantage.

Excellent communication skills in English are required.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of solid experience working in M&E with high school diploma, or and minimum one year experience with university degree.

Demonstrable experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection.

Demonstrable experience in contributing to reports.

Language

For all applicants, fluency in English and Pashto is required (oral and written).
