Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international, non-profitable, non-governmental humanitarian relief organization with its head quarter in Birmingham, UK. It enjoys consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and is a signatory to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and red Crescent Moments and NGOs in Disaster Relief. Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan for more than 23 years, providing emergency relief and implementing life-changing development projects for some of the most vulnerable people in the country. Islamic Relief set up our first Afghanistan office in 1999. Since then, IRA continued providing assistances in emergency relief, food security, livelihood, education, health, nutrition, shelter, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan and Qurbani programmes.

Job Summary

The Surveyor is responsible for the collection of information on the returnees, IDPs and host communities. Conduct door to door assessment surveys for profiling communities in target locations. The surveyor is responsible to Humanitarian Program Coordinator. IRW-A is looking for 20 surveyors/distributors for the implementation of its project in Nangarhar, Laghman and Kunar Provinces.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Travel to the villages in target districts of Each province regularly.
  • Perform
  • speedy assessments and door-to-door surveys in consultation with CDC to select
  • vulnerable recipients in compliance with the criteria in practice in Each province Work.
  • with communities to specify the most vulnerable populations in their
  • communities.
  • Develop
  • strategies for reaching out to beneficiaries in rural communities.
  • Maintain
  • a database for the registered recipients and community.
  • Assure
  • that the beneficiaries are chosen in line with the criteria for the program.
  • Participate
  • in the related training when demanded·
  • Taking
  • photos/video clips of the beneficiaries during the survey when needed, and
  • Entering
  • the data into the Kobo/ database after the evaluation.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Grade or DBA in related field and Bachelor’s degree is preferable.

 

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • English Typing and data entry is a must.

 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of local languages Dari and Pashto.
  • Able to handle field initiatives.
  • Able to meet deadlines and deliver high quality work on time.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Be punctual, on time, and able to meet deadlines.
